Recognizing that we all start at different places. Meeting employees where they're at and providing various levels of support and opportunities to achieve fair and equal outcomes.
A perception and feeling of belonging and being valued for being the full authentic expression of your culture and self.
My research reveals a fundamental truth: Inclusion alone does not create equity. Without equity, inclusion is merely an illusion—momentary and unfulfilled. Likewise, equity without inclusion forces employees to mask their true selves in order to fit in rather than thrive authentically.
Employees don’t just seek inclusion or equity—they seek equision. Equision ensures that marginalized employees have the opportunities they need to succeed while also feeling valued and empowered to show up as their authentic selves. When organizations embrace both, they cultivate workplaces where everyone belongs, contributes, and prospers.
